Experience counts....
Don't BER assemblies or scrap piece parts that can be easily and cost effectively salvaged for a fraction of OEM price. MROTechnologies can help develop turnkey cradle to grave component repair solutions for your piece parts whether you have one or thousands. We enable you to be more competitive in the marketplace by offering unique solutions to complex problems. We can also help market your company to new sources through our industrywide knowledge base. We can also assist in doing technical assessments and then constructing position papers for you to present to the FAA to get concurrence. We have also worked converting and assisting with FAA certified military aircraft, experimental aircraft and more.
We also support orphaned aircraft, i.e. those abandoned by the original airframe supplier or its vendor base to help keep your aircraft flying through innovative salvage repairs. One of our more recent projects was on the Lockheed Constellation Super Star project which is destined to fly again in 2015. We helped support propeller accessory items to keep this Lockheed and Lufthansa project on track. We worked on the spinners and propeller check valve.
MROTechnologies has developed FAA approved major repairs for over 30 years with US Chrome and since 1996 began offering FAA Designated Engineering Representative (DER) approved repairs to clients. From 2008 to 2010, as Director of Project Engineering, I cradle to graved two major STC accumulator projects on the entire Bombardier CRJ series for The Triumph Group who basically ending up using me as a hired gun rather than a long term asset. I developed from the ground up AML STC ST02236LA and EASA.IM.A.S.03255 to allow substitution of the Triumph designed hydraulic accumulators as direct replacements for the existing, tainted Tactair units flying on most CRJs today. A Transport Canada and FAA AD to remove and replace these units with a new Tactair or other approved AMOC designs was released.
With regard to the latter we can uniquely assist (as the author of the STC documentation) airline operators with obtaining an AMOC (alternate means of compliance) for the recent Transport Canada AD TC-2010-24 which directs operators to follow Bombardier SBs 601R-29-035 and 301R-32-107. These impose cumbersome man hour and financial burdens on CRJ operators for an originally inadequate design for the hydraulic accumulators. (New accumulator, relocation, new plumbing, etc.)
In 2010, we developed a baseline AMOC (alternate means of compliance) on SFAR88 requirements for a foreign registered B727 aircraft along with Zanganeh Astronautics Inc. This required interfacing with the New York ACO, Los Angeles ACO, The Isle of Man, and other DERs required to complete the scope of the project. There was a steep learning curve and lots of regulations to review and integrate into the documentation package submitted to the NYACO for approval. We received FAA approval in August 2010 and fully implemented the AMOC with auxiliary fuel tank activation in September 2010.
We specialize in major repairs for Systems and Equipment and Propulsion Accessory piece parts. We formerly developed and executed all major repairs for USChrome, now Aviation Repair Solutions, as well as many other repair stations for more than 20+ years. Currently we have delegations including Part 23 piston engine aircraft, 25 turbine engine aircraft, 27 piston engine rotorcraft and 29 turbine engine rotorcraft, 33 Engines (except blades currently) and Part 35 Propellers. We have one of the few designees with a Repair Specification DER for all these areas. Note that any major repair intended for multiple use must be in the new Repair Spec format since July 2010. My extensive experience allows me to use the FAR's to either show the major repairs are equivalent to or in most cases better than the OEM design. I have conservatively helped generate over $5 million in repair sales and repaired over 3500 actual piece parts using DER repairs developed by the principal. The most successful repair we have developed has generated nearly 700 piece parts for repair resulting in sales of nearly $2.5 million since 2003.
MROTechnologies offers consultant DER engineering services thru the Northwest Mountain Branch of the Los Angeles Aircraft Certification Office and is based in Southern California. However, we can support projects wherever you are in the world with geographic presence a mere 10 minutes from the Los Angeles Aircraft Certification Office. Our DER holds delegations from the FAA Administrator as a Consultant DER for Major Repairs with Systems and Equipment and Powerplant Accessory and EBU Hardware as well as the extension of Repair Specification DER. Only a very small population of aerospace engineers in the USA have the major repair delegation for hydraulics and pneumatic parts. In fact we constantly develop projects for large aerospace companies. Our data packages are considered the most complete that customers receive. Again, we can also help market your company to potential clients with our extensive contacts with domestic airlines.
MROTechnologies can develop repairs and approve data on behalf of the FAA to help customers salvage expensive hardware and assist you in the marketing of these repairs to new customers as well. This provides you a significant cost advantage over anyone that needs to procure new hardware from OEMs. Proprietary alternatives to PMA are also used so you can repair end assemblies in a timely manner yet still maintain safety and satisfy aftermarket overhaul demands. MROTechnologies has saved airlines millions of dollars and small repair stations hundreds of thousands of dollars on parts costs. Your competitors are using DER services to compete against YOU in the marketplace.
